The writing in this book is tremendous and engaging. I particularly enjoy writers who write well crafted sentences that do more than convey meaning. This book definitely is well written. That said, I didn't find the plot and characters anything more than average. The characters are engaging, the plot moves along at a nice tempo, but it's not one of my favorite books of all time. It's a quick read, prefect for summer.
