Editorial Review (from Amazon.com)

Christopher John Francis Boone knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He relates well to animals but has no understanding of human emotions. He cannot stand to be touched. And he detests the color yellow.

This improbable story of Christopher’s quest to investigate the suspicious death of a neighborhood dog makes for one of the most captivating, unusual, and widely heralded novels in recent years.

Benjaloo thinks this book is Excellent.

A fascinating book written from the point of view of a relatively high-functioning autistic teen, by an adult who works with autistic kids. As someone who has some contact with autistic kids myself, I was very impressed at how the author seemed to capture the flavor of kids with this disorder. A great mystery as well.

Jax thinks this book is Good.

An excellent piece of autobiographical fiction with loads of humor...

iamagirldork did not give this book a rating.

This is the story of an autistic and OCD teen who starts out trying to solve a murder mystery. Instead, he ends up making a journey of a lifetime and at the same time, learns something new about himself. This book is truly moving and sweet. I read it in an afternoon as I was completely drawn into the story. I would highly recommend this book. While it isn't your "ordinary, typical novel," it is a WONDERFUL read.

jennynoel thinks this book is Excellent.

We listened to this as an audiobook (unabridged) during a recent road trip. A fascinating, humorous and touching book. The audiobook is well-produced as well. Loved it!

Kaitlin L thinks this book is Worth Reading.

I don't really understand this book, but I didn't give up on reading it. I just had to really imagine where the main charater was coming from. Its a really good book to see how other people live in life. I just can't really relate.
