revisit Orwell’s classic satire Animal FarmAs ferociously fresh as it was more than a half century ago, this remarkable allegory of a downtrodden society of overworked, mistreated animals and their quest to create a paradise of progress, justice, and equality is one of the most scathing satires ever published. As readers witness the rise and bloody fall of the revolutionary animals, they begin to recognize the seeds of totalitarianism in the most idealistic organization—and in the most charismatic leaders, the souls of the cruelest oppressors.

Amy Miller Burgess thinks this book is Excellent.
Required reading for EVERYONE. It is an allegory busting with meaning insight and intelligence, every single word, each sentence. It is a shirt book, and each word and idea is important, not one extra or throw awy word. Perfection.

George Orwell should have been our prime minister. Seriously.
As always, very insightful, Orwell never disappoints. Marvelous characterisation, both funny and frightening at times. Orwell seems to be able to put any perception into a metaphorical masterpiece of literature, I cannot emphasize this enough as he is one of the few authors that is scarily on cue with cultural perceptions. Original storytelling at its best, I am not surprised this is still on the required school curriculum in many schools across Britain.
