Real Murders - Rated Good

A good book, almost innocent, dispite the numerous murders. It almost has a Brittish feel to it. As usual, Charlaine Harris' writing style is different in this book, as it is in her other series'. The main character, Aurora "Roe" Teagarden is a prim and proper librarian, with a hidden exciting side.

The Anna Strong Chronicles: The Becoming - Rated Good

Good book if you like Vampire books. It isn't too dark or violent, it isn't romance, and iit isn't erotic. I was glad to find this book, because it seems like the above list is the only type of vampire book out there. Anna Strong is a bounty hunter with close ties to her family, when she is attacked by a skip and wakes up in the hospital with some unique changes to her body and her life.

Outlander - Rated Excellent

This is one of the best fiction books ever! Don't even read the tags for this book, because it is not a book that can be pigeonholed. It has a 'romance' tag, because the two main characters have an everlasting and deep love for each other. It has a 'time-travel' tag because the female main character does actually travel through time. And likewise, the 'historic fiction' tag, because the majority of the book (& series) takes place in the past. But this book is more adventure than anything, and the deep level of character development is phenominal. If you love to read and you don't read this book (and the whole series), then you are missing out.

Smitten - Rated Excellent

A very CUTE book. It's nice and short, but it is just the right length for this story. It is just so cute and humorous. I really like JE's Plum books, but for me her others are hit and miss. I liked "Back to the Bedroom", too; it was almost as cute as this one.

Ella Enchanted - Rated Excellent

This book was similar to the movie, in that the premise was the same, but it was also very different. I highly recommend it for anyone from ages about 9 to 99. It is a very good fairy tale, similar to Cinderella, but with a different twist.

The House of Thunder - Rated Worth Reading

While this book is worth reading, it was not one of my favorites by Dean Koontz. I felt it was a bit boring in an overkill kind of way. Don't get me wrong, the suspense and mystery was high, but I felt it was just dragged on too long, and then the conclusion was fairly predictable. But I still love Mr. Koontz's books!

Redemption - Rated Excellent

This book is the first in the "Redemption" series, and it does a good job of being a stand-alone book while introducing the characters that will be prominent in the subsequent books. This is an emotional story of a woman who finds out her husband is having an affair, but refuses to give him up. Not because she is weak, but because she is strong--she knows that God would not want her to give up easily, and that through Him, all things are possible. This book shows that it is possible to come through an affair, disspite what your family, friends, community, or anyone else thinks.

Survivor In Death - Rated Excellent

If you haven't read any of the other "... in Death'' books, I highly recomment you go back to book one ("Naked in Death") and start there. These books are great for the person that likes a good mystery/cop book. Lt. Eve Dallas is a powerful yet compassionate and brilliant detective. This particular book was very good, as all the books in this series are.

City of Masks: A Cree Black Thriller - Rated Excellent

Great supernatural suspense novel. This is my first book by this author, and I plan to read more, including Land of Echos.
